Moms & Littles
Join us for a morning of community as we gather as parents with young children, spending 2 hours exploring and learning about nature and ourselves. This is a program where both parent and children truly benefit, by being in nature together.
Whether you are already a nature enthusiast looking to expand your time in nature and connect with other like-minded families, or are a beginner looking to learn to appreciate the natural world, this will be a wonderful way to connect and rewild ourselves in synchronicity with our children.
Julie is a very experienced nature guide who is committed to life long learning and is the mother of 5 beautiful children. She has a passion for community and sharing her gifts and curiosity with others. The program takes in the woods of Kennebunkport where we have intentionally established fire pits, a canvas wall tent and a wood stove.
Our flow of a morning begins with a trail walk, snack time and story; activities that engage little ones while moms connect with each other, nature, their children, and themselves. Often our morning flow is nature-led as we find animal tracks, a fallen birds nest, a log to climb or puddles to splash in. Nature is always providing, so following the magic is a huge part of Julie’s teaching and sharing.
Moms and Littles is not a drop in program because the intention is to create a sense of continuity and community for both moms and little ones.
The program runs on Fridays from September to June with the option to sign up for seasonal sessions. Thanks to our walled tent we meet in most weather conditions unless we have high winds and/or temps lower than 20 degrees. We have an outdoor forest potty for all ages.
